Alex was admitted as a solicitor in 1973, having served her articles at Edge & Ellison Hatwell Pritchett & Co in Birmingham. Following qualification she continued in that practice and became a partner. In 1991 she left and started up her own niche conveyancing practice in Sutton Coldfield, called.Wheadon & Co. In 2007 she merged her practice with Eddowes Perry & Osbourne where she continues to practise mainly domestic conveyancing.
She is married with two grown up children and enjoys singing although this is now restricted to performing in the church choir. Music is one of her great loves. Much of her spare time is devoted to pastoral care at her church but she does find the time for her football, being an Aston Villa season ticket holder...sorry all you bluenoses . Her old English sheepdog keeps her fit and sometimes in trouble with joggers and cyclists.
